The client was for The University of Texas at El Paso faculty exhibition. We had to design a exhibition catalog and poster. In this project I wanted to incorporate what inspired me but in my own art style that I use in my printmaking artwork. I wanted to create a drawing that looked old like an etching print, but create an environment that was contemporary for them. Since the exhibition was for our utep facility, I wanted to create something to represent them. The hands represents how the faculity always have their hands in something. Their number one art tool is their hands. So the number of hands in the poster are the number of faculty members in the exhibition.
